Popular as Jeet, his complete name is Jeetendra Madnani. Born 30 November 1978. Prior to becoming a star of Bengali Cinema, He made his film debut with a Telugu film, named Chandu, which was a box office failure. After that, he starred in his debut Bengali film Sathi, from where his journey began. And now he is one of the highest paid Bengali actors. A star with the enormous talent of acting skills has given us a number of entertaining films that were commercially and critically successful. So, here in SobiGhor today we will discuss about Ten Best Movies of Superstar Jeet.


1. Wanted

Wanted, it is a 2010 released, action drama film, directed by Ravi Kinagi. With Jeet, this film stars Srabanti Chatterjee in the lead role. It is a remake of 2005 Telugu superhit film Athadu starring Mahesh Babu and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles. The story is about Raja, played by Jeet, who is an assassin. He gots a task to Shoot a minister in a rally, but he should shoot in such a way that minister shouldn’t die. Such that minister will receive votes in sympathy. But a mishap happens when, Raja was preparing to shoot minister in his shoulder, someone else, shoots the minister in the head. And minister dies on spot. Now, Raja has to run for his life, he escapes police and arrives in a village where a respected family was waiting to receive their son, who was lost for 12 years. Raja takes the place. And thus the movie goes on. The movie includes a chase to identify the real culprit, with that its a family drama, showcasing the emotional bonds in a family. Upon release, Wanted received mostly positive reviews and became one of the biggest hit of 2010.


2. Premi

Premi, released in 2004, is a romantic drama Directed by Rabi Kinagi. the movie features Jeet, Jisshu Sengupta and Chandana Sharma in lead roles. This is also the debut movie of  Chandana Sharma as an actress. This movie is also the debut of music director Jeet Ganguly. The movie is a remake of 2002 Telugu movie Nee Sneham Directed by Paruchuri Murali starring Uday Kiran, Aarti Agarwal, Jatin Grewal. The movie is about Rahul and Sumit are the best friend and are footballers by profession. To save Rahul from an accident Sumit injuries his leg and becomes unable to play football. Rahul makes a promise to Sumit that he could fulfill Sumit’s dreams by becoming a great football player. One day Rahul meets Puja in a taxi and falls in love at first sight. Meanwhile, Puja also meets Sumit, whom she admires for his strength grit even being an invalid. Now puja falls in love with Sumit. And thus the entire movie is all about the love triangle. A wholesome entertaining movie including friendship, love, sacrifice, misunderstandings and lot more. A wonderful movie that is a must watch. The music of Jeet Ganguly is wonderful and performances by lead actors are wonderful.


3. Deewana

Deewana, released in 2013, it is a romantic drama film directed by Rabi Kinagi starring Jeet and Srabanti Chatterjee in lead roles. It is a remake of the 2007 Tamil film Deepavali, directed by Ezhil, and starring Jayam Ravi and Bhavana. The story is about a happy go, lucky boy, played by Jeet, who called as the prince of fulbari, because of his and his family’s positive image in the area. He falls in love with a girl, played by Shrabanti Chatterjee who visits his next door. They were about to marry, until one day the girl’s father who is a reputed gangster from Kolkata arrives and takes away the girl, on the way she meets an accident and loses all memory related with the boy and fubar. She thinks she never visited Fulbari. She now doesn’t recognize the boy nor anyone in the village. Now the boy has to stand up and fight to win her and her love. The movie is a romantic, emotional and engaging love story. The performances by lead actors are wonderful and music of the movie is lovely. The movie was declared as a box office hit.


4. Nater Guru

Nater Guru, released in 2003, is a romantic comedy Directed by Haranath Chakraborty. it features Jeet, Koel Mallick, Ranjit Mallick and Moushmi Chatterjee in pivotal roles. The film was Koel Mallick’s cinematic debut. The movie is based on Samaresh Basu’s popular novel, Nater Guru. The movie revolves around four main leads, Robi, Shashi Bhushan, Sulochona and Manisha. Shashi and Suluchona are an estranged couple who are mutually separated from each other but not divorced legally. The separation is out of misunderstandings, egoism and preconceived notions from both sides. After 15 years, Sulochona is a business tycoon while Shashibushan is a worthless racecourse bookie. Their only daughter Manisha, resides with her mother. Sulochana suffers a heart attack and Manisha unable to get help turns to her father. The father-daughter combo decides that the ailing Sulochona can’t be given any stress or anxiety. Hence they carry a stealth operation. They decide to hire Shashi’s friend and ally Rabi played by Jeet and present him as Durgadas, who is would be of Manisha. The drama is engaging and highly appreciated for comedy timings of the actor. The movie proved as a blockbuster in the box office and Jeet and Koel’s promising performances are highly appreciated.


5. Manik

Manik, released in 2005, is a romance drama Directed by Prabhat Roy. Along with Jeet, the movie stars Koyel Mullick, Ranjit Mallick in leading roles. The movie is about Samir, who is an unemployed educated guy who is looking for a job. Because Samir’s mother is suffering from cancer. On the way thinking what to do he tries to saves a man named Manik from an accident. Manik is an affluent businessman. Manik dies, Before his death, Manik requests Samir to take care of his father and younger sister; he also tells Samir not to disclose the news of his accident. Manik gives Samir all required information. Now, Samir becomes Manik. As the movie goes ahead we see a lot of romance and emotional drama that makes this movie a complete family entertaining movie. Watch this movie with family to enjoy a wonderful family entertainer. The performance of jeet is highly appreciated in this movie.


6. 100% Love

100% Love, released in 2012, it is a romantic drama movie directed by Rabi Kinagi. The film is a remake of the 2007 Telugu film Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule. With Jeet in lead, this movie stars Koel Mallick in the lead. The movie revolves around Rahul, a boy who is from a middle-class family. Who is unemployed and desperately looking for a job. His father, who is a teacher, always chides him for being an irresponsible person. One auspicious day Rahul meets Anuradha, falls in love with her, He learns that she works for a software solutions firm. Luckily for him, Rahul finally secures employment in the same firm. Now, he tries to expand his closeness with Anuradha. One sudden day when his father comes to his office to propose for his sons love to Anuradha, a mishap happens and accidently Anuradha slaps Rahul’s father. There begins a new chapter in the movie, Rahul loses his father, who dies of a heart attack. Rahul plans to move to a village with one of his friend where again he finds that his friends would be is Anuradha. So, this way movie goes on engaging audiences in a full-fledged entertaining family drama. Jeet and Koel’s performance was highly appreciated and the movie was declared as a Super-Hit.


7. Boss: Born to Rule

Boss: Born to Rule, Released in 2013 is a crime thriller film, directed by Baba Yadav, Along with jeet, this movie stars, Subhashree Ganguly, Chiranjeet and Rahatava Dutta in pivotal roles. It is a remake of the 2012 Telugu film Businessman which was directed by Puri Jagannadh and starred Mahesh Babu and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles. The story revolves around a young man named Surya who lands in Mumbai with an intention to become a Mafia Don. On the way, he falls for Rusha, daughter of the police commissioner. With spices of Romance, Crime, and Action, we also see a part as a revenge drama, making it a Superhit entertainer. Upon release, it got mixed reviews and was declared Blockbuster at the box office. Jeet’s performance as a Mafia was thrilling and was highly appreciated by masses. A sequel titled, Boss 2: Back To Rule was released in 2017, following the success of former.


8. Bachchan

Bachchan is a 2014, comedy thriller directed by Raja Chanda. The film feature actors Jeet, Mukul Dev, Ashish Vidyarthi, Payel Sarkar and Aindrita Ray in prime roles. It is the official remake of the 2011 Kannada film Vishnuvardhana starring Sudeep, Bhavana, Priyamani and Sonu Sood. The film is about Bacchu aka. Bijay, who is a die-hard fan of Amitabh Bachchan. Bijay is the son of a washerman Ramesh, and he doesn’t want to be like his father but dreams of earning a million bucks. He falls in love with Priya. He lies her that he is a doctor to win her love. Meanwhile, Vijay finds a mobile phone which had accidentally fallen from a reputed goons pocket. And because of this phone, many people look for Vijay everywhere, these people include goons, polices etc. The phone carries something that everyone is need of. Thus this way a tussle surrounds the entire story of the movie. A movie with enormous comedy, action, and thrill is an engaging and entertaining movie. The movie was highly appreciated for performances of the actors and was declared superhit in the box office.


9. Sathi

Sathi, Released in 2002 is a musical drama film directed by Haranath Chakraborty. Along with Jeet, it stars Priyanka Trivedi in lead role, supported by Ranjit Mallick playing an important role. This is the debut film of Jeet in Bengali cinema. It Is remake of the Tamil film Thulladha Manamum Thullum. The story is about Bijoy who wants to become a singer, he is a lot talented and comes in the city to fulfill his dream. On the way, she meets a girl named Sonali, who is blind and falls in love with her. The girl also wants to become a singer. After some time Bijoy finds that he is the reason for Sonali getting blind. Now, Bijoy feels guilt and now wants to fulfill Sonali’s dream. And thus the movie goes developing a wonderful love story on the screen. Upon release, this movie becomes one of the highest grossing Bengali movies of 2002 and won many hearts, especially with its beautiful songs. Jeet got a huge fan following for this movie and became one of the highest paid actors of Tollywood.

10. Dui Prithibi

Dui Prithibi, released in 2010, is a road movie directed by Raj Chakraborty. It is A remake of the Telugu film Gamyam, The movie stars Jeet, Koel Mallick and Dev in leading roles. Dui Prithibi is the first film of this decade that brought two of the biggest stars of Bengali cinema, Jeet and Dev, together in the same screen for the first and only time so far. The movie revolves around Rahul Roy, the son of a multi-millionaire called Arup Roy. He is born and brought up in comfort and luxury. He comes across Nandini, a young & charming doctor. As a joke, Rahul challenges his friends that he would make her fall in love within a few days. On the process, Rahul really falls in love with Nandini, but when she knows about the challenge, she leaves him without informing whereabout she is going. And there begins the movie. Rahul realizes his mistake and set up in search of Nandini and her love. He crosses numerous places learns new things about the world outside his luxury till he meets his love at last. On the way his journey he is supported by Shibu, who used to be a petty thief, he also changes himself along with the company y of Rahul. It was the highest grossing Bengali film of 2010. Dev and Jeets performance together in one screen were highly appreciated and the movie was credited as one of the best movies in Jeet’s career.
