1. Josh

Josh, these 2000 released action drama film was directed and co-written by Mansoor Khan. These movie is an ultimate pack of craziness and emotion between brother and sisters. It teaches you how sweet is to have a brother and sister and the naughty side of the brother-sister relationship. Here we see Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai as the brother and sisters. On one hand we see how crazy these siblings are together and on the other hand we see how mad the brother becomes when he knows that someone has wrong intentions about his sister. SRK’s role as Max and Protective brother was loved by everyone. With his stylish looks and Mass avatar adding plus points to Max’s role. 2. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, these 2013 released, biographical sports drama movie was directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Although it’s a sports drama movie and Brother-Sister bond is not he prime content, but still, the little sibling’s relationship showcased in the movie has very importance. The movie stars Farhan Akhtar as Milkha and Divya Dutta as his Sister. The movie expressing the deep brother-sister relationship at the saddest part of their life, the portrayal of Isri Kaur played by Divya Dutta, her love for her brother is eternal. Separated by 1947 partition of the nation and then reunion in a refugee camp in a foreign land.  Isri’s sacrifice of herself for supporting her little brother is one of the most important parts depicted in the movie. The motherly support of Sister to Milkha is one of the best things about this wonderful movie. Krodh, these 2000 released Bollywood drama film directed and produced by Ashok Honda. It stars Sunil Shetty and Rambha in the lead roles. Here we see a brother played by Suniel Shetty doing everything that is possible to do for her five younger sisters. This drama is completely based on the sibling’s relationship, since childhood after losing their mother at a very young age and father getting jailed. Karan the brother took a step ahead to protect and nurture his sisters. Now Karan has the responsibility of looking after five younger sisters, and he does so with dedication, affection, and diligence. A movie that will make you go to tears when we see some misunderstanding arises and the loving sisters of Karan is on a way to jail Karan. This drama is one of the must watch a movie on Brother-Sister bond. The movie is a remake of Malayalam film Hitler starring Mammootty and Shobhana.

 

4. Chup Chup Ke

Chup Chup Ke, these 2006 released comedy-drama film was directed by Priyadarshan. The movie is with all the comic aspects the prime part is the Brother and Sister bond between Mangal Singh Chauhan played by Suniel Shetty, the strict and strong man, with just one weakness, his baby sister, Shruti, played by Kareena Kapoor who is a sweet and innocent girl but deaf-and-mute. Mangal’s deep love for his darling sister, and his desperation to do anything to give her a normal and happy life is the only motive. Shruti, too, has great love and respect for her elder brother who is like a father to her. The bond of the relationship between the protective brother and the loving sister has left a mark in the hearts of audiences. A must watch a movie, which begins with a comic exposure and ends making everyone emotional.

 

5. Kai Po Che

Sobighor - Kai Po CheKai Po Che, These 2013 Released buddy drama film was directed by Abhishek Kapoor based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel The 3 Mistakes of My Life. We have discussed earlier about these movie for its immense friendship between the lead stars. These time it makes the list because of the lovely brother-sister relationship between Ishaan and Vidya played by Sushant Singh Rajput and Amrita Puri respectively. Brother is extremely possessive about his little sister. Although they are always keep fighting. The affection between them is one of the most important part if the movie. Ishaan who is so protective about his sister that, he even beats up his best friend when he comes to know that he is in relationship with his baby sister. On the other hand the love of Vidya for her brother is also immense she names her first born child as Ishaan, in the name of her brother who dies during communal riots. These movie is an ultimate package of everything. A must watch movie.

 

6. Agneepath

Agneepath, these 2012 released action drama film directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar and Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions. These remake of Amitabh Bachchan-starrer original Agnipath redefines the brother-sister relationship in these 2012 movie. Here, we see Vijay Deenanath Chauhan, played by Hrithik Roshan is been separated from his little sister named Shiksha at a very young age. His affection for his sister is so much that Even in her absence from his life, he runs charity organizations in his sister’s name, and celebrates her every birthday. The emotion of this brother for his sister is a must watch. There is a moment in the movie where we see Vijay meets Shiksha for the first time after decades and the expressions of the actors and the soothing song sung by Sonu Nigam titled “Abhi Mujh me Kahi” will really make you feel their emotions relatable with you. It is one of the best movie showcasing brother-sister relationships in recent cinemas.

 

7. Bumm Bumm Bole

Bumm Bumm Bole, it is a 2010 released Child drama film directed by Priyadarshan. The film is an official adaptation of the 1997 Iranian film Children of Heaven. This is one of the best movie in the list depicting brother sister emotions at a wonderful style. Pinu, played by Darsheel Safary and Rimzim, played by Ziyah Vastani. Born to a poor family, and struggles daily to meet standards in school. They fight yet they love each other. In a sudden mishap Pinu loses Rimzhims Shoes, now they share a common pair of shoes between the two on the way school. One day Pinu finds out that there is a school marathon where he wants to participate, and expects to win the third prize which is a pair of shoes, and he wants these to win for his sister. Accidentally he wins the first prize and wins himself a scholarship. He cries like anything for not being able to win shoes for her sister. Rimzim, also gets upset on hearing about it. The innocence of the two children and the love and care for each other is so pure. A must watch Child drama.

 

8. Iqbal

Iqbal, it is a 2005 released, coming-of-age sports drama film written and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. And Produced by Subhash Ghai, under the banner of Mukta Searchlight Films. It is a success story of a deaf-and-mute boy Iqbal, played by Shreyas Talpade, who fights to get selected Indian cricket team. He has no one to support him except his little sister, who stands by him, encourages him, fights for him and is ready to go any length to turn her brother’s dream into reality. The siblings were not allowed to watch matches at home. But Khadija, Iqbal’s sister know about her brother’s hopes. She helps him in any possible let it be practicing with bulls or convincing a drunkard to guide him, she supports, she keeps secrets, she is like a big sister, protecting and parenting Iqbal on to get his dream come true. The immense bond between this two brother and sister is one of the best things to watch in this National Award winning classic movie.

 

9. Fiza

Fiza, it is a year 2000 released, action crime drama film written and directed by Khalid Mohammed. A movie with its central plot of a brother-sister relationship. The movie depicts about Fiza, played by Karishma Kapoor, who desperately searches everywhere about her brother, Aman played by Hrithik Roshan. Who were separated during the Bombay Riots. One day, after long six years she finds out her brother has returned. Now, she also comes to know that the brother whom she lost at very innocent age, is no more an innocent person, he is now indulged with terrorist groups. Fiza wants her brother to return to normal life, and does every possible way to bring him back. Until one day she kills her brother only to protect his honour from getting arrested to police and be declared as terrorist. The film showcases that how far siblings can go for each other. A movie that will give immense thrill and showcase emotion and affection of brother and sister towards each other.

10. My brother Nikhil and Sarbjit

My brother … Nikhil!

My Brother… Nikhil, it is a 2005 released, biopic drama film based on the life of Dominic d’Souza. And directed by Onir.  The movie focuses on AIDS awareness in India. It also depicts the heart touching relationship between a brother and a sister. Nikhil, a gifted swimmer, played by Sanjay Suri, has a caring elder sister, Anamika, played by Juhi Chawla. Nikhil is diagnosed with AIDS and is ignored by his family and the society. Only his sister stands by him who ignores all threats from the society and law and stood to fight for her brother happiness and rights. She also starts an AIDS assistance organization to safeguard people like her brother, who are diagnosed with AIDS.  The film showcases the love and support that siblings can provide for each other at any cost in any unexpected situation.

 

Sarbjit

Sarbjit, this is a 2016 released, biographical drama film directed by Omung Kumar, based on the real life of Sarabjit Singh. With international politics, this is a movie which completely focuses on Brother Sister Relationship. When, Sarbjit, played by Randeep Hooda, is arrested by Pakistani force thinking as an Indian Spy. His sister stood up to do anything at any level to bring back his beloved brother to his motherland he belongs. The movie showcasing the suffering of Sarabjit in Pakistani jails, his unfortunate life, his severe daily routine and his hope to get back to his motherland is showcased brilliantly. On the other hand, her sister played by Aishwarya Rai, who goes for rallies, puts posters of his missing brother, goes to Pakistan, talk with diplomats and many more. She tries hard and does extreme things to bring back his brother to home. She even tries to kill herself, because of not succeeding to bring back her brother. Aishwariya Rai’s portrayal as a brave sister of Sarabjit is a great remark in Indian cinema. Watch these movie for the sibling’s affection and love.
